Possum problems? Seen a stoat? Borrow a trap from our library now.
Like any library, once you are finished with your trap please return it to us so we can issue it to another trapper in the area.

What Is Trap Library East Auckland?
Trap Library East Auckland is a combined community project made up of Rotary, Lions and Friends of Mangemangeroa members.
The group was spearheaded by Pakuranga Rotary and now has representation from the Rotary Clubs of Howick, Half Moon Bay, Somerville and Botany / East Tamaki, from Friends of Mangemangeroa, and from the Lions Clubs of Bucklands Beach and Howick.
The Trap Library East Auckland complements the Pest Free Howick Ward project which aims to have 1 in 5 households in the Howick Ward RAT trapping. They provide FREE rat traps to all community members keen to get involved.
Trap Library East Auckland have specialised POSSUM and MUSTELID (weasel, stoat, ferret) available to borrow to enable the trapping of these predator animals. Like any library, we ask you return your trap once you are finished using it, to best utilise this expensive equipment.
Projects
The Trap Library East Auckland has three projects underway.
- Rotary Walkway Trapping Line
- Bucklands Beach Peninsula Predator Free
- Howick Ward Mustelid Control Zone
Your assistance would be welcomed on any of our projects.
